For over 35 years we have been designing and building prototype and production SPC Fixtures, Holding Fixtures, CMM Fixtures, Cooling Fixtures and Welding Fixtures for interior or exterior parts for the automotive and aerospace industries. Our team of highly-skilled design engineers will construct your fixture or gage to the precise specifications of your gage standards or by utilizing our in-house standards based upon the GD&T or drawings.
We can inspect your completed fixture with in-house CMM or Laser Tracker capabilities or send out for a 3rd party certification. Optional Gage R&R’s with report are available as well upon request. Our highly trained staff of fixture builders will also provide precise work instructions to simplify operator use in the field.
We build fixtures and gages out of various different materials depending on the function, timing and cost desired by our customer. Some examples of materials available are steel, aluminum, wood, composites, FDM rapid prototypes and machinable polyurethane board. We will work with you and your team to provide the best possible material solution to meet your budget, timing and quality constraints.
Inspection and Repeatability
Inspections
iDEAL Technology can help interpret inspections as well as provide detailed reports, roadmaps and information tailored to your specifications. We have a Tarus CMM, a Faro Laser Tracker and many other gauging instruments to perform all of our quality functions.
A gage R&R can help you determine if your measurement tool is working correctly or if the person using the tool is operating it correctly. To ensure the validity of your test results we utilize a variety of parts and operators to verify that each part checks the same no matter who the operator is. Through a successful gage R&R you will be able to become aware of how well you are measuring parts.
A third party verification service investigates each party’s interpretation of the print, inspection technique and inspection results. This service provides a non-biased report that outlines data for critical dimensions and certifies the fixture or gage as meeting the GD&T.
